Please send all submissions in MS Word format via email as an attachment. Please do not paste your proposal/manuscript into the body of the email. To make a decision, we need the first three chapters and the last chapter of your story.​

In your original email to us, also include a brief cover letter to introduce yourself and your book. If your manuscript is complete, please include the word count. If it's not yet finished, please provide your estimated timeline to completion and give an estimated word count. ​Fiction work should be about 60,000-100,000 words in length. Young adult fiction may be as short as 25,000 to about 50,000 words. Nonfiction should be about 40,000-80,000 words.

Please follow industry-standard formatting for your manuscript, see below.

• Pages should have 1" margins on all sides. 

• Lines should be double-spaced, with 0.5 tabs to indicate paragraphs. Do not add extra spaces between paragraphs.

• The font should be Times New Roman, 12 point. 

• Use BLACK INK ONLY - do not use color fonts, DO NOT ITALICIZE unless the word or phrase is to indicate a language other than English. 

• Use a footer to indicate page # of ### pages.

For either FICTION or NON-FICTION, please provide the following with your submission: 

• The genre of your book

• A short bio 

• A headshot of you, without others or pets in the photo 

• A Pitch line of 30 words or less 

• A long blurb of 150 words or less 

• The FIRST three chapters AND the LAST chapter, or completed manuscript  

• Marketing proposal – Please tell us how you envision marketing your book, and if you need Giro di Mondo to assist you with marketing.

For NON-FICTION manuscripts, submit the same info and format as for fiction. Also, please highlight your credentials and expertise in the subject matter to write this book. 

 

We are open to most fiction genres, except Erotica. We will consider a wide variety of nonfiction topics as well, with preference to memoir and how-to books.
